Reflection:

Motivation and management are two factors that influence the classroom environment the most. Classroom management of individual and group behavior should be established clearly and be consistent. The students need to be aware of what is expected of them. An effective management plan can create a positive environment where learning and growth can take place. The classroom should be a supportive and motivating environment for the students.
Structure is an element that I believe is essential in classroom management. Structure provides an encouraging environment. I have learned that when the students are managed effectively they are more engaged. Engagement has a correlation to motivation. When the students enjoy their learning they are motivated to try and continue learning.
Students should have positive social interactions with each other and be engaged in the material. Disrespect of any kind will not be tolerated in my classroom. I believe that the classroom is a community. Within that community, the students should feel a sense of responsibility for themselves and their peers. The influence of peers can have a huge impact on students. I believe that students should be motivated by the teacher and their peers.
I believe that classroom management is a difficult thing to master and that there are always new strategies to try in order to have a successful classroom.
