INTASC Principle 4: Multiple Instructional Strategies
|
| Reflection: Critical thinking, problem solving and performance skills are some of the most important skills for students to develop throughout their educational careers. Teachers should use a variety of methods in instruction in order to create interesting and stimulating lessons. The use of multiple instructional strategies is important in any classroom. In order to develop critical thinking and problem solving skills material must be presented in many different ways and from many different perspectives. Critical thinking is one of the most important skills that teachers can help students develop. It is a skill that is valuable and applicable to every discipline. I hope to inspire critical thinking throughout the classroom each day through new and different instructional strategies. The implementation of a variety of instructional strategies allows the teacher to reach more students. Each student learns differently, therefore through using many techniques will provide a chance for each student to find a portion of the lesson that is particularly conducive to his or her learning style. |
