Languedoc Roussillon Region

Including Languedoc and Roussillon, as well as Cévennes and Gévaudan, the region's name comes from "Langue d'Oc" (Language of Oc) spoken in the south of France.  Enriched with the Celtic, Phenician, Roman and Arabian influences, the region was at the center of the crusade against the Cathars.

Aude (Carcassonne), Gard (Nîmes), Hérault (Montpellier), Lozère (Mende), Pyrénées-Orientales (Perpignan).
