Reflective Analysis of Portfolio Artifact
INTASC #_____10______
• Brief Description of Evidence:
During student teaching, I volunteered to help at
various sporting events. I assisted in taking and selling tickets at
volleyball, football and soccer games throughout the semester. This artifact
is a series of pictures taken while assisting at sporting events.
• Analysis of What I Learned:
Taking tickets was a valuable experience. It allowed me
to connect with the community on a more personal level. I felt like I was a
part of the Highland High School community as well as the Anderson
community. The students enjoyed seeing me at these events and it allowed me
to build a deeper relationship with many students. I learned that it is
important to take an interest in the students' activities. They want
teachers to know about their talents and witness their performances.
• How This Artifact Demonstrates my
Competence on the INTASC Principle:
This artifact
demonstrates several aspects of the INTASC principle. It shows that I am
able to create a relationship with the community. This artifact shows that I
am willing to attend extra-curricular events and I am willing to extend my
role as a teacher into the community. It shows that I am dedicated to
forming and maintaining relationships with parents, community members and
students.
